DESCRIPTION:The XXIV FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics will be held at the Paris Convention Centre in Paris\, France\, on 9–12 October 2023. The 2023 FIGO World Congress will be hosted by FIGO and the Collège National des Gynécologues et Obstétriciens Français (CNGOF).\n\n\nFor almost 70 years\, FIGO’s World Congresses have brought together obstetricians\, gynaecologists\, midwives\, nurses\, allied physicians and other health professionals in the field of women’s health and policy from countries around the world. Representing a broad and diverse range of fields\, these international health professionals will meet in France in 2023 alongside key decision makers\, NGOs\, patients and health and rights advocates. \nSession and abstract submissions are open\nTo submit your abstract\, film or session proposal\, and to view the full guidelines for submission\, please visit the submissions website. The deadline to submit is 21 November 2022 (23:59 UTC). \nRegistrations open January 2023\nThe destination selection process for FIGO 2023 saw engaging bids from across Europe from learned obstetric and gynaecologic societies\, all of which offered superb venues and access to preeminent scholars. Paris stood out for its strong interest in the diversity of potential attendees\, covering trainees\, midwives and the broad scope of obstetrics and gynaecology\, as well as the opportunity for FIGO to collaborate with a Francophone host society on a World Congress for the first time in 27 years. \nOn hosting the event in Paris\, Professor Jöelle Belaisch-Allart\, CNGOF President\, said\, \n“The XXIV FIGO World Congress in Paris will be a great opportunity to bring together diverse professionals in women’s health care from across the globe. Or is the new Belgrade waterfront in the middle of the city? Whatever it is\, aside from the famous sights and the smiles\, you will enjoy a city with some of the best restaurants in the world\, as well as many bistros\, bars in which almost everyone speaks fluent English. \nAltogether a worthy location for the equally wonderful FIGIJ meeting. The course will consist of keynote sessions and concurrent presentations addressing critical issues in pediatric and adolescent gynecology\, surgery\, endocrinology and sexuality. The faculty and participants will interact in a variety of formats\, including formal and informal group discussions\, oral and poster sessions including video abstracts\, and lively debates in order to disseminate the latest information concerning pediatric and adolescent female patients. \nConference Objectives\nAt the conclusion of the meeting\, attendees should be better able to:\n1. Demonstrate understanding of the clinical presentation and medical management of common reproductive endocrinopathies affecting the female pediatric and adolescent population.\n2. Describe the medical and surgical management of genitourinary and reproductive tract conditions affecting the pediatric and adolescent patient and demonstrate understanding of procedural and imaging techniques utilized in the gynecologic care of this population.\n3. Understand the effects of chronic medical conditions on reproductive function and describe the effect of social determinants of health on reproductive function and quality of life.\n4. Incorporate Quality Improvement and Research into the clinical care of pediatric and adolescent patients to more expediently improve clinical outcomes.\n5.
