SUMMARY:14th FIAPAC Conference (International Federation of Abortion and Contraception Professionals)
DESCRIPTION:14th FIAPAC Conference\nTheme: Fertility control into the hands of women\n8 to 10 September 2022\nRiga\, Latvia \nView or download the flyer here. \nDear friends\, \nRiga\, the capital of Latvia\, is delighted to host the FIAPAC conference in 2022. A medieval city with over 800 years of history\, architecture\, universities\, cafes and attractions makes it a perfect venue. Rīga Stradiņš University\, a university with students from more than 50 countries has warmly agreed to host the FIAPAC 2022 and ensure that knowledge of experts is shared with the next generation of health professionals and public health specialists. \nLife for many people has changed over the past few years. The COVD-19 pandemic has confirmed how essential it is that  women can easily access contraception and abortion services  This makes the theme of our conference  ‘ Fertility control into the hands of women’  particularly relevant. \nResearch and practice in the field of contraception and abortion are developing fast. Webinars and on-line conferences have helped us keep up to date\, however\, these cannot replace the networking and support of an person meeting. So please join us on person in Riga to meet your colleagues and friends at FIAPAC in discussing joint future projects and sharing success stories. \nLooking forward to welcoming you in Riga! \nBest regards\, \nOn behalf of the local organizing committee \nGunta Lazdane\,\nProf Reproductive Health\nRīga Stradiņš University

DESCRIPTION:Challenging times\, are we ready? Novel approaches to sexual and reproductive health\n25-28 May 2022\, Ghent\, Belgium \nChallenging times indeed\, we live in a “Flat World”\, without boundaries\, not from a physical nor from an emotional point of view. During this congres we have the great opportunity to focus on a number of themes which are in the heart of this evolution.\n1. The many faces of birth control with new views on Abortion and Contraception.\n2. “Sex in the city” with STI’s and innovative solutions in the pharmaceutical industry\n3. The social media and LGTB+ creating opportunities for further sexual liberation?\n4. The collateral damage of this rapidly changing world such as sexual violence and (dys)function.\n5. SUMMARY:NASPAG Virtual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends and Colleagues\, \nIt is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 35th NASPAG Annual Clinical Research Meeting\, and our first ever virtual meeting. Our theme this year is “Finding Strength in Connections” as we plan to bring together the various disciplines that address the medical and surgical care of girls and young women\, in an effort to optimize their reproductive health. \nMany in our community missed the opportunity to engage with peers during the 2020 ACRM. Even though we are not able to meet in person in 2021\, the exchange of research\, best practices\, and clinical findings is more important than ever. NASPAG is committed to making sure the 2021 ACRM continues to deliver the most up to date content\, as well as make sure our members have the chance to network\, exchange ideas and stay connected to our fellow NASPAG colleagues and friends. With these goals in mind\, all meeting content presented throughout each day of the conference will have some interactive portions. Registrants will also be able to view all presentations on demand. \nWe hope that this virtual event will provide you with the opportunity to once again learn\, engage\, and connect with the NASPAG community and colleagues from across the country and around the globe. \nStart following us now on #VirtualNASPAG2021! \nSincerely\,\nRupa DeSilva MD & Mary Romano\, MD\, MPH 2021 ACRM Program Committee Co-Chair \nOverview\nThe Annual Clinical & Research Meeting (ACRM) of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) is designed for primary care physicians\, specialists\, nursing and allied health professionals\, and physicians in training whose practices include pediatric and adolescent female patients and/or whose practices include the gynecologic care of pediatric and adolescent patients. SUMMARY:FIGO 2020 - New Dates Announced
DESCRIPTION:FIGIJ will be hosting a session at the FIGO Regional Congress to be held in Kigali\, Rwanda\, in June 2020. \nKigali Regional Congress Postponed to December 2020 \nDear members\, colleagues and partners\,\nFIGO (International Federation Gynecology and Obstetrics)\, the African Federation of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AFOG)\, and the Rwanda Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RSOG) have consulted with our local partners\, the Rwanda Convention Bureau and the Rwandan Ministry of Health\, to review the possibility of holding an international event in Rwanda in the next three months. Disappointingly\, we have come to the conclusion that due to the risks associated with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)\, holding a successful event would be not be feasible. \nThis decision to postpone our Regional Congress has not been taken lightly\, however together we have come to the conclusion that possible travel bans and restrictions on gatherings\, plus the increasing need for health workers to be serving their local communities\, means that the best option is to postpone. \nWe would like to express our gratitude to our members\, speakers\, registered participants\, partners\, sponsors and exhibitors for their patience and support at this time. \nThe Regional Congress in Kigali will now take place from 13th December to 15th December. The venue of the Regional Congress remains the same: Kigali Convention Centre\, with some workshops taking place at remote locations\, as before. \nFIGO and the Congress Organising Committee are working with speakers and partners to ensure as much of the programme can be carried through to our rescheduled Regional Congress. We will take the postponement as an opportunity to make the Regional Congress even better\, to ensure we showcase clinical best practice\, share the latest findings in research and innovation\, and to influence policymaking and ensure human rights in the field of global women’s health. \nFIGO and the Congress Organising Committee will be in touch with all stakeholders shortly\, ensuring everyone has enough time and information to join us in Kigali in December if possible. We have updated our website with key changes\, including new registration deadlines and conditions. We have also added a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ page to the website. \nWe apologise if the postponement of our Regional Congress in Kigali has caused any inconvenience\, and we hope that postponing for six months will give everyone enough time to change their plans and join us in Kigali. Please get in touch at congress@figo.org with any additional questions you might have. \nWe wish our members\, doctors\, nurses\, midwives and all medical communities all the best in the upcoming months\, and we are looking forward to seeing you in Kigali in December. \nYours sincerely\,\nKigali 2020 Regional Congress Organising Committee\nFIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) African Federation of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AFOG) Rwanda Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RSOG)
