DESCRIPTION:14th European Congress of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology\nDear Colleagues\, \nOn behalf of the EURAPAG Executive Board and Lithuanian Organizing Committee\, I am delighted to welcome you in the beautiful city of Vilnius for the 14th European Congress of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology. \nAs the interest in the paediatric and adolescent gynaecology in Lithuania is noticeably increasing\, the field is often being discussed not only between gynaecologists and obstetricians but also among general practitioners\, pediatricians\, urologists\, endocrinologists\, oncohematologists. Correspondingly\, the Congress will reflect and represent research and practice diversity of paediatric and adolescent gynaecology from different perspectives. Participants will have a chance to get in touch with the most recent knowledge\, research results and achievements represented by the medical professionals from all around the Europe. The program will focus on children and adolescent gynecological problems. Anyway\, there will not be missed the topics of the future generation of the gynaecological professionals and the innovations of the field\, as well. Through the insightful discussions and interactive sessions the relevant issues will be discussed in a wide audience and that will be a great opportunity to share the new ideas and find the original solutions. \nIt would be remiss of me not to mention the organizational experience of all the organizing team of the Congress and not to tell how much efforts they put to ensure the quality of this annual event. I would also like to notice that here in Vilnius we have a lot of enthusiastic and talented young colleagues who contribute the organizational process with pleasure. Without any doubt\, the mature lecturers\, doctors and professors will enrich the program with significant experience and valuable scientific knowledge too. \nInescapably\, together with the Organizing Committee I encourage all young professionals to join our society and participate actively by submitting the oral and poster proposals or showing any other initiatives. As our community is not the biggest one\, the participation of the young colleagues will strongly help us to reach the main goal of the Congress. We all seek for a strong union of the European medical professionals working in the field of paediatric and adolescent gynaecology. All together we can help patients grow physically and psychologically healthy. However\, at first we need to share and gain the vitally important scientific knowledge. B. Kinderchirurgie und -urologie\, eine wesentliche Rolle.

SUMMARY:Britspag: Annual Update in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nAdolescents represent one quarter of the world’s population with their specific health needs being increasingly recognised. The BritSPAG Annual Conference covers details of advances in the rapidly changing field of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG). Some may be technology-driven\, such as advances in imaging and surgery for many aspects of management of Mullerian Anomalies. Other areas reflect increased international collaborative working such as change in practice for those with Disorders of Sex Development. As healthcare evolves so do the challenges\, in both high and low-resource settings. These are contrasted in the programme with guidance on FGM in children\, managing the obese adolescent and providing care in a resource-poor setting. The training day will cover all the aspects of the problems of puberty. Learn about normal puberty\, when to investigate abnormality\nand how to manage early and late puberty\, adolescent menstrual dysfunction\, polycystic ovarian syndrome\, congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Understand young women’s psychological and emotional needs during puberty and how to discuss sex with them. Find out about rokitansky syndrome and XY women. The multidisciplinary nature of paediatric and adolescent gynaecology is reflected in the invited speakers\, providing an opportunity to learn from other disciplines.
