Rīga Stradiņš University\, a university with students from more than 50 countries has warmly agreed to host the FIAPAC 2022 and ensure that knowledge of experts is shared with the next generation of health professionals and public health specialists. \nLife for many people has changed over the past few years. The COVD-19 pandemic has confirmed how essential it is that  women can easily access contraception and abortion services  This makes the theme of our conference  ‘ Fertility control into the hands of women’  particularly relevant. \nResearch and practice in the field of contraception and abortion are developing fast. Webinars and on-line conferences have helped us keep up to date\, however\, these cannot replace the networking and support of an person meeting.
