Today, on the last day of the year 2017, I sum up the results. The year was difficult, but fruitful for the PAG. The service of the PAG of the Kharkov region (about 3 million people) was maintained and functioned normally. As before, I remain the Head of the PAG service of the Kharkiv region of Ukraine (my main work is the university). The detailed report for 2017 with statistical data I can send in February-March, when the report for the Ministry of Health will be generated.
Once every three months in 2017 I held conferences – “Specialist Day”, where I discussed news in the field of obstetrics, gynecology and pediatric gynecology with regional doctors. At these conferences, interesting clinical cases were demonstrated and the complex diagnostic and treatment questions of PAG patients were analyzed.
The largest conference I held on 27-28/09/2017. It was devoted to the 5th anniversary of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Pediatric Gynecology of the Kharkiv National Medical University (KhNMU), which I have been heading since 2012 and the memory of Professor N. Bogdashkin, who was Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2 in KhNMU in 1994, where I started teach the course of PAG.
324 doctors attended the conference: obstetrician-gynecologists, pediatric gynecologists, pediatricians, pediatric surgeons from the Kharkov region, heads of administration of the region and the university. The pediatric gynecologists came from other cities of Ukraine (Kiev, Odessa, Vinnitsa, Zaporozhye, Zhitomir, Dnepr). On-line communication was conducted with Western Ukraine (Bukovinian State Medical University – the city of Chernivtsi and the city of Uzhgorod) and the Republic of Kazakhstan (Acos.professor Gulya Alimbaeva). Reports were presented on juvenile obstetrics, diagnosis and treatment of cysts, genital abnormalities, sexual development disorders and menstrual function disorders, contraception in adolescents, and many others. The second day of the conference was held on the basis of the reproductive medicine clinic.
The conference showed great interest in the issues of PAG and our progress in this area for our doctors and patients.
