According to the Statutes, the mission of FIGIJ is:

To promote research in the field of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and to enforce the knowledge thereby acquired into practice, with the objective of improving health, welfare and fertility of future generations of young women;

To improve and disseminate university and post-graduate teaching of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology;

To maintain regular contact and exchange information among members of the Federation.

This organization will strive to fulfill its aim:

• By organizing a world congress every three years;
• By encouraging the organization of national and international meetings on subjects associated with Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology;
• By ensuring that the dates of these scientific meetings (congresses and symposia) do not overlap with one another.

FIGIJ is a non-profit organization and has no political, religious or other affiliation.

FIGIJ is composed of national organizations dedicated to pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and individual members in countries where it has not yet been possible to form a national organization.
