Abstracted Bio: Nur Ghani (Malaysia)
I am a Malaysian consultant and head of the Dept of O&G, National University. I have been involved in PAG for over 10 years. I undertook my PAG training in Melbourne from 2008-2010 where I completed my doctorate on the impact of menstrual problems on the quality of life of young women. I passed my IFEPAG exam in 2017. We have run several PAG workshops, each with over 200 attendees, working to extend knowledge and improve the care of the children and adolescents. We created the first PAG unit in Malaysia in 2008 and also receive referrals from Singapore and Indonesia. We became an accredited IFEPAG training centre in 2019 and are currently training the first PAG doctor from Pakistan. I continue to be actively involved in research and have supervised several O&G trainees in projects related to PAG. I have skills in administration and coordination which may help the IFEPAG exams. I am keen to expand PAG teaching to other countries with no prior exposure. I think the Board should consider new ways of providing teaching and education to countries in need, with high numbers of young people but no access or resources to attend the current training centres.
