President’s Report (2023–2026)
International Federation of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (FIGIJ)

Dear Colleagues,

It is my privilege to present this report summarizing the activities and achievements of FIGIJ over the past three years.

During this period, FIGIJ has experienced significant growth and strengthened its global presence, now representing members and affiliated societies in more than 70 countries. This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to building an inclusive and collaborative international network dedicated to improving pediatric and adolescent gynecologic care.

A central focus of our work has been strengthening international collaboration. FIGIJ has actively engaged with global organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), and United Nations agencies working in adolescent health. Through these partnerships, we have contributed to international policy discussions, supported global health initiatives, and expanded our role in educational and scientific collaboration.

Education and training have remained core priorities. FIGIJ has supported numerous scientific activities, including webinars, workshops, and participation in major international and regional congresses such as NASPAG, EURAPAG, ALOGIA, and the FIGO World Congress. Our webinars have reached a global audience, with strong participation in sessions addressing key topics such as adolescent pregnancy and reproductive health.

The continued development of the IFEPAG training and certification program has been a major achievement. New accredited training centers have been established in multiple countries, further strengthening structured clinical education in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. In parallel, our bursary program has supported trainees from low- and middle-income countries, reinforcing our commitment to equity in access to education and training opportunities.

FIGIJ members have made important contributions to the scientific literature, publishing in leading journals and advancing knowledge in key areas of pediatric and adolescent gynecology. The Education and Resources Committee has expanded access to learning through new materials, practice documents, and the development of innovative platforms such as the Case Corner.

Advocacy has also been a defining aspect of our work. Through the Reproductive Justice Working Group and other initiatives, FIGIJ has contributed to global discussions on comprehensive sexuality education, adolescent rights, and reproductive health. Our advocacy efforts have addressed critical issues including early pregnancy, menstrual health, female genital mutilation, and the impact of climate change on adolescent health.

Across these three years, FIGIJ has continued to strengthen its role as a global leader in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. These accomplishments would not have been possible without the dedication of our Executive Board, committees, partner organizations, and members worldwide.

As we look ahead, including preparations for the upcoming World Congress and the transition to a new Board, we remain committed to advancing our mission and expanding our global impact.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement.

Sincerely,
Dr. Marisa Labovsky
President, FIGIJ
